Social Distancing Haikus

Note to Reader:  I have been absent from my blog for the past ten years.  I took a reprieve from my writing and then years later I transposed my prose to verse.  I am in the midst of contemplating the editing process. With spring arriving, it seemed logical for me to keep engaging in verse and write daily haikus in response to the corona virus creating social distancing. Within the darkness, I celebrate the opportunity to return to my art and create to reveal light.  And so I pay tribute to Toni Morrison’s guiding words as I inscribed for the last chapter of My Daimon. “This is precisely the time when artists go to work.  There is no time for despair, no place for self-pity
